The Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly issued Decree No. 602 establishing the Musan Export Processing Zone on 24 April 2021.

ON ESTABLISHING THE MUSAN EXPORT PROCESSING ZONE

The Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea decides as follows.

  1. The Musan Export Processing Zone is established in some areas of Saegol-ri, Musan County, North Hamgyong Province.
  2. The power of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is exercised in the Musan Export Processing Zone.
  3. The Cabinet of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and relevant institutions will set up practical measures to execute this decree.
